Gourmet Hot Sauce from The Scoville Food Institute
The Scoville Food Institute makes a variety of gourmet hot sauces based off of the historical findings of Professor Wilbur Scoville, the father of pepper pungency, who invented the Scoville Heat Unit (SHU). The Scoville Heat Unit is the standard of measurement for the heat or pungency of a pepper.
Inspired by Professor Wilbur Scoville, the Scoville Food Institute created the Periodic Table of Scoville Units to allow fellow chili heads to easily find their favorite pepper in our hot sauce flavors. From the Carolina Reaper and Garlic Habanero hot sauce to jalapeno and cayenne pepper hot sauce, we have all of the hot sauce pepper flavors you need.
Founded in 2007 in Erie, PA, we are dedicated to providing new, flavorful all-natural hot sauces inspired by Scoville units. All of our hot sauce is preservative-free, gluten-free, and wheat-free and can be found in select Whole Foods Market locations in the North Atlantic and North Eastern regions of the United States including Boston and New York City.
